Santa Quiteria and San Bonifacio Hermitage (Montfalcó)

Type: Hermitage

Location: Montfalcó (on a rocky ridge which can be reached from Montfalcó by following a trail)

Description: A building with an irregular floor plan, the result of its adaptation to the rock upon which it was built. It comprises two naves and a flat chevet. The smaller of the naves has just one section and houses the presbytery, while the larger one has three. There is some evidence that indicates that the chevet was initially semicircular. The building is sheltered by a barrel vault ceiling supported on transverse arches raised on long benches. The western opening comprises a semicircular bifora with a small shaft and a crude capital.

Protection Status: None
